Services at Quilted Roots Garden Consulting

Why a garden consultant?

Gardening can feel overwhelming, and you are not sure where to start, what to prune, what to harvest, and there is so much information out there that also doesn't make sense to the Denver climate. Let me help you simplify gardening and make this an experience that you can feel confident and have fun doing in your own yard.

I have spent almost a decade growing vegetables and flowers professionally and I want to share my knowledge with you! My job isn't to make your garden dependent on me. It's to get you rooted enough that you don't need me anymore, except maybe to swap seeds or trade tomatoes over the fence. That's the kind of neighborhoods I want to help build: people growing food, sharing with each other, and reconnecting with the land.

Here's how I can help you get there.

The Garden Plan

This is where most folks start. I come to you, we walk the space together, talk about what you actually want, and I go home and build you a plan around your goals, your energy level for upkeep, what plants you want, and the reality of gardening in Denver's climate.

Not in central Colorado? Shoot me a message anyways and we can meet virtually!

What you get:

  • A short survey before we meet

  • A 60-minute visit, in person, in your actual yard

  • A step-by-step plan with your garden beds mapped out

  • A shopping list of local nurseries and products I trust

Starting at $150–$200, depending on the size of your space.

Want help building it out, or ongoing support after? We'll talk about that once you've got your plan in hand.

Everything Else That Keeps a Garden Growing

Sometimes you don't need the whole plan, you just need another set of hands. That's $55/hour, and covers things like:

  • Weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, etc.

  • Potting up houseplants

  • Plant (&pet) sitting while you're away

  • Troubleshooting whatever's got you stumped: yellow leaves, bolted lettuce, soil health, compost pile smells bad, deer keep eating your cabbages?

  • Got a weird garden problem not listed here? Ask anyway!
